PATHFINDER is a vision based system for wafer inspection and
coordinate location for the purpose of building a coordinate file in a
format which is compatible with SUPERVISOR and other probe card analyzers.
An optional CNC micro drilling system expands the capability of the system
to drill precision probe contact patterns from an acquired Pathfinder file
or from a pre-existing SUPERVISOR file.
Probe card test files from other probe card analyzers
from competitors are completely compatible with Pathfinder.
A unique software interface operates within Windows 95™ and provides a
precision motion control system for target acquisition. Intelligent imaging
locates the precise center of each bond pad by measuring each target and
automatically positioning the cursor in the target center. The coordinate
file is created as each target is acquired, measured and centered.
The accumulated coordinates are retained in a Microsoft Excel file for use
with SUPERVISOR and other analyzers or the file may be immediately used with
the optional laser drilling system.
This optional laser drilling system can be used for
needle probecards production.
