Williams offers a wide range of solder alloys. Virtually hundreds of alloys and shapes are available.
The alloying and tooling possibilities are endless at Williams.

For over 80 years, Williams has been a leader in the fabrication and refining of precious metal alloys, including a variety of low temperature lead free solder solutions.  Today, Williams has the most advanced technology available, integrated directly within our manufacturing facilities.   Our extensive offering of Alloys are cast and fabricated to meet the exacting standards of various micro electronics applications. Custom Alloys can be formulated and manufactured according to your application temperature.
All of our alloys are available in a variety of shapes and forms, including ribbon, preforms, rod, ring and wire.  Custom shapes can also be manufactured using our state-of-the-art design and fabrication equipment.

Spec Analysis, large open tooling library, and over 30 years of material science support our Solder Preforms and Ribbon product lines. The dimensional possibilities are endless! Over the years Williams has assembled a library of over 8,000 tools - built and maintained by our in-house tool and die shop; perfected machining processes for special shapes; and devised very accurate adjustable tools for low volume requests. Solder Preforms are available in: squares, rectangles, discs, washers, and frames with standard thicknesses from 0.001" to widths up to 4.500”. Wall width of washers and frames will have an effect on the thickness availability. Ribbon thickness ranges from 0.001” (+0.000/-0.0002”) and up based on the width that ranges from 0.015” to 4.500”. For special shapes solder preforms, let us review your drawing to give individual consideration to radius and wall thickness in relationship to overall thickness. Solder Preforms, Ribbon and Wire are available in the below materials list.

In-house: alloying, analytical lab and materials science experts support our wire and Turkshead offerings. Turkshead is unique square and rectangular formed wire used in the electronics industry as an inlay within strip material, which in turn is stamped and formed for contacts. Unlike most manufacturers, Williams has the ability to produce Turkshead in long lengths. Call us to discuss your specific size needs.
