Specification

Inspects resistor print for - alignment, voids, extra print, and contamination defects.

Inspects conductor print for – alignment, voids and extra print.

Inspects laser trims for – position, length symmetry/regularity, laser kerf quality.

Capability
Stratus 2031 provides:

Inspection of laser trimmed circuits for all print defects.

Detection of ceramic contamination on wiper blade areas.

Identification of non-symmetry of trim lengths in repeating resistor banks.

Detection of laser-trim reject marks.

Reject marking of defective circuits.

Detection of scribe lines.

Missing scribe lines.

Operation

Substrates are automatically fed from cassette or stack.

The imaging head automatically scans and inspects the substrates.

Defects are recorded by type, severity and location (circuit number/ section of circuit).

Images of all identified defects may be presented on the operator display for operator review.

In engineering mode - the inspection operation is performed interactively with the operator.

Alarm condition for consecutive or population limit defects.

Reporting

Production statistics for each batch.

Statistical reporting by defect type and location.

Measurement data including for example (SPC data) – distribution, mean, etc. for selected features.

Spatial distribution map of defects on circuit or substrate.

Training

Training of new circuits is carried out using selected good parts and CAD data.

The ‘training operator’ confirms the inspection tolerance for different print features and regions.

Trained circuits are stored in the system’s library database for future call-down.

Changeover

Menu selection by product name/code identifier.

Batch information and other production information is recorded at start of batch.

Real-time remote support from Vigilants Technologies’s engineering service center via telephone modem.
